NESCAC hockey payers are shining on the soccer pitch!

A quick scan of the NESCAC soccer stats shows Middlebury sophomore  Greg Conrad and Trinity senior Tim Shea leading the NESCAC in points scored (and no. 2 and 3 in goals scored) and Bowdoin freshman Stevie Van Siclen leading the NESCAC in save percentage (and no. 3 in GAA). These are three very impressive two-sport athletes. Conrad was all-ISL in both soccer and hockey at the Brooks School; he is a big hockey forward who joined the hockey team late in the season in his freshman year (2013-14). His feats as a soccer goal scorer earned him this week’s NESCAC player of the week award. Shea, who prepped at both Tabor and Deerfield, is a hockey forward and a penalty killer extraordinaire for the Bantams. Like Conrad, Van Siclen was all-ISL (at the Rivers School) in both soccer and hockey; he is a hockey forward and is following two brothers to the NESCAC (Johnny, Amherst ’13 (Amherst’s leading scorer in his senior year) and Mike, Colby ’17 (but no longer at Colby)).
