USM 3 Bowdoin 1 (good write up in the Maine Hockey Journal; second good write up in the Portland Press Herald); another bit of a collapse for Bowdoin; holds a 1-goal lead for more than 2 periods only to give up the tying goal about 5 minutes into the 3rd and then the winning goal with about 2 minutes to go; USM gets an empty netter for the final margin with 39 seconds to go; Richard Nerland in net for the Bears and was steady; game was closely played as the SOGs were even; an odd game for Bowdoin as several of the key regulars were missing from the line up (players like Jordan Lalor, Jay Livermore, Rob Toczylowski, and Colin Downey); not sure the point of treating a regular season game as though it were something akin to a scrimmage (USM video webcast here; now that color guy takes the cake as a truly annoying homer guy))

Manhattanville 6 Conn College 2 (lots of 3rd period scoring by the Valiants as Manhattanville led by only 2-1 after 2 but the game was closer than the final score would suggest; it was a close 4-2 when Manhattanville got an empty netter with less than a minute left and then another last-second junker for the final score; Conn College has the edge in SOGs at 37-28; Andrew Margolin in net for the Camels; JJ McGregor scores both of the Conn College goals)
